Step 1
Upload your spreadsheet file
Most people that work with spreadsheets now use mainly Excel and its .xlsx file format. To begin, click on the upload box or simply drag and drop your .xlsx file into the drop zone. The system also accepts .csv files. The fields of your form will be created based on the column headings of your spreadsheet. This would usually be the first row of your sheet. Click here to see an example of a typical spreadsheet.
Step 2
Enter your e-mail address
The system relies on e-mail to send you new submissions from your form. While there is no need to create an account and password, this is an important step to make sure you receive the new results. Please make sure the e-mail address you enter here is correct.
Step 3
Name your form
Each form that is created will have a name. This is the name that appears on the top of your form page. For example, “New Customer Record Form”.
Step 4
Input Type and Options
There are several ways that a user can input data into your form. This includes Short Text, Long Text, E-mail, Numeric, Dropdown Menu, Check Box and Radio Buttons. This where where you tell the system which type of input to use for each field. For Dropdown Menus, Check Boxes and Radio Buttons, there is a place for you to input different options that a user can select. For example, a Dropdown Menu called “City” can have options such as “Hong Kong”, “Taipei”, “Shanghai”.
Step 5
Form Design
The next step is to design your form. You can easily choose the colour scheme and design of your form with just a few clicks. First click on a colour on the top pallet and then click and select the layout design of the form.
Step 6
Set results delivery time
When someone fills out and submits data to your form, the system will email you back the data in a new Excel file (.xslx or .csv). From there you can integrate it with your own Excel spreadsheet. This is all done automatically. From this final screen you can set the intervals at which the system sends you any new results that you may receive.
Step 7
You’re done!
You did it! This last screen provides you with access to your newly created form. Each form has a unique link that you can share with your target audience, code to embed the form into your existing website, and the entire source code of your form, for further customisation if needed. From there, all you need to do is wait for the new form submissions to come in via email where you can download the latest data.
